Despite common sense and knowledge about the nature of global financial trends, many international marketing and student recruitment professionals of Western-world institutions have been dreaming of the emerging countries' middle class as a paradise of new wealth, soon to be massively tapped into for Western-style tuition fees to fund their universities, colleges and schools. But the question is how much richer is the emerging world than ten or fifteen years ago and for how much longer can the internatonal student recruitment industry sustain itself before trends might start reversing or student flows might become almost impossible to predict?
